If you ‘google’ the definition of the word ‘obsessed’, here is what you will find:

Preoccupy or fill the mind of (someone) continually, intrusively, and to a troubling extent
– he was obsessed with the theme of death
– he became completely obsessed about germs

(of a person) Be preoccupied in this way
– her husband, who is obsessing about the wrong she has done him

Interesting that in both cases, there is a negative connotation to obesession. I’d offer an additional perspective:

Relentless and passionate pursuit of a goal or desired outcome
– An organization obsesses over attracting, hiring and retaining stellar team members in service of the firm’s clients
– A business obsesses about delivering distinct and massive value to customers

I believe there can be healthy obsessions in the service of individuals, clients, one’s community and for social benefit.

What are your obsessions?
